Remember

If he hadn't gone to the kitchen
    to get that lemon,
He wouldn't have seen the sheep
    eating his daisies.

If he hadn't returned the sheep
    to his neighbor,
He wouldn't have seen the white kitten
That reminded him of his childhood
And the story his mother had told him
    of the big black bird.

As he walked back home, reminiscing,
He saw a leaf in his garden
That reminded him of that lemon...
